Daikin Europe N.V. was established in 1973 in Ostend, Belgium as part of Daikin Industries Ltd. In addition to housing the European production and administration headquarters, Daikin Europe N.V. is home to the EMEA (Europe/Middle East/Africa) sales and marketing headquarters. The production site of Daikin Europe N.V. has grown into the most advanced plant of its kind in Europe. Daikin Europe N.V. is the sales and manufacturing headquarters responsible for Europe, Africa and the Middle East for Daikin’s air conditioning, heat pump and refrigeration equipment. Daikin is manufacturer of: 1/ Climate comfort systems for residential and commercial usage; 2/ Advanced heating systems using energy efficient heat pump technology for residential usage; 3/ Chillers, fan coil and air handling units for commercial and industrial applications; 4/ Cooling and freezing systems for commercial and industrial applications.

Electrawinds is a Belgian energy company (headquarters located in Ostend, Belgium) which produces green energy via wind turbines, biomass power plants, and solar farms. As a pioneer in renewable energy, Electrawinds has built up a wealth of experience. The combination of different forms of technology (wind, biomass, and solar) makes Electrawinds a unique energy company. Electrawinds has operational projects in Belgium, France, Italy, South Africa and Romania. The company is furthermore in the process of expanding its operations in Eastern Europe (Bulgaria, Poland, and Serbia) and is also active in Namibia. In the future Electrawinds will build offshore wind farms in the Belgian North Sea and has already received different concessions.

ENFINITY

Enfinity N.V. is established in Waregem (Belgium), and is a fast-growing and ambitious company with international activities in renewable energy. As a project specialist, Enfinity ensures the implementation of solar & wind energy power plants, and is today already present in 19 countries in Europe, Asia and the US. In order to finance these energy projects, Enfinity works with individual project companies whose financial means are provided by equity investors and banks. Enfinity is in the process of developing, building and financing PV projects with a total capacity of more than 145 MW and is planning to initiate several hundred megawatts through 2010. In 2008, Enfinity had a turnover of 83.1 mio Euro. Enfinity also sells end-to-end solar installations to companies and private persons. For the consumer, this is done via an extensive dealer network.
